Dewees Island is a unique community just off the coast of historic Charleston, SC.  A nature-lover's paradise, Dewees offers private beaches and marshland with great opportunities to relax, watch wildlife, and experience the natural beauty of the South Carolina lowcountry.  It's only 20 minutes Dewees by private ferry from the Isle of Palms, but you feel like you have entered another world.

There are wonderful things to do when you get here, from swimming in the pool or ocean, to canoeing and kayaking, to birdwatching or exploring tidepools, or participating in one of the great nature programs.  You can fish, crab and shrimp on the island.  There's even a gameroom, 2 tennis courts, and a nature center.  When you want to venture into town, the bustling shops, historic charm, and world class restaurants of Historic Charleston and friendly Mount Pleasant are a short ferry ride away.

Transportation on the island is by golf cart -- they usually come with the rental house.  Park your car on the Isle of Palms in our private parking lot.
